So whilst these came out the oven resembling cow pats, I can’t really say, aesthetically, that these avocado chocolate cookies were a success. HOWEVER, taste-wise they were rather lovely. I followed this recipe sort of and they actually look the same as on that blog, so I think they came out how they were meant to. I’d say they are more brownie like in texture.

1) mush up 2 small avocados

2) ‘cream’ in 1/3 cup of sugar

3) mix in 1 tbsp of cocoa powder and 1tsp of baking soda

4) mix in chopped dark chocolate (I used dark choc with pistachio in, hence the little bits you can see in the pic).

5) place blobs of batter on a lined baking tray and bake at 180 for 20 mins. The recipe above says 8-10 mins but after 10 mins mine were still goo.

I put mine in the fridge over night which firmed them up. Next time I have leftover avocado I’m going to try this Marks & Spencer brownie recipe instead.
