I went to make a birthday cake but realised I didn’t have a big cake tin. Fail. Anyway I did have lots of cake cases so went for cupcakes instead. There’s maltesers in the cake batter, trust me, they taste glorious!

I followed Lorraine Pascal’s recipe to the letter for this one (didn’t want to muck up birthday cakes!!).

The frosting was my recipe though:

1) 1 pot of marscapone in a big bowl.

2) sieve over 2 tbsp of icing sugar and 1 dessert spoon on cocoa powder.

3) mix well until it all comes together. 

My best mate decorated these with a piping bag I found in the 99p shop! They don’t look bad right?! Tasted soooo good.
